Members of the Eagle Tribe
While many Eagle Tribe members can be a bit "airheaded," Eris is always extremely focused and quick-witted, which is probably why she spends more time with the earth-bound creatures (like Laval) than those who live in the clouds. She loves adventures and puzzles, and can spin a yarn like no other creature. She is also an extremely strategic fighter. What she lacks in strength she makes up for with smarts. You have to fight Eris with both your body AND your mind because she always has a trick or two up her wings. She's never mean-spirited... unless provoked. Typically, she's the first to lend a hand, and the last to leave a friend in need. You can always count on Eris. Just don’t let her corner you and tell you jokes – a lot of them aren't as funny as she thinks they are.
Equila is the Eagles' flying "ace" and loves to dive bomb enemies, whether in play or in battle. Equila flies an Eagle jet, a powerful feathered master of the skies, and takes great pains to keep the coveted jet in excellent repair. When not flying, Equila is the proud guardian of the mighty Eglaxxor, the first royal weapon of the Eagle tribe.
Ewar is brave. Ewar is strong. Ewar is true. But Ewar doesn't change direction – no matter what. He can keep a battle plan in his head from start to finish, and will follow it precisely and to great effect. But throw just one little wrench into the plans, one little miscalculation, and Ewar is completely lost.
A master of ballistics and primitive rocketry, Eglor is the Eagle's "gadgetbird." If given enough time, Eglor can calculate the exact speed and trajectory needed to launch a pebble halfway across Chima so it completely incapacitates its target. In his feathery claws, the smallest twig can have the explosive impact of a missile. The only problem is: his aeronautical calculations take so long that the battle is usually over by the time he fires his stick-and-stone missiles. Most of the time his "deadly" assault lands on a completely empty battlefield, long since cleared of opponents. He doesn’t have a calculator either, so his equations are scrawled halfway across eagle mountain with chalk. The other Eagles must warily tiptoe around his scribbles lest they erase some of them and cause a miscalculation that makes his missiles radically misfire. That happens more often than the Eagles like to admit.
The leader of the Eagles' Ruling Council, Ewald is prone to endless deliberations about everything from battle strategy to what they should eat for lunch. He is always searching for the perfect solution to everything, which keeps him from ever accomplishing anything. The truth is: he loves the debate about action a LOT more than he loves the action itself.
